Hi Tony,
My brain and fingers have never had a strong connection. I found out when I tried to learn a musical instrument and again when I learned to type. I do proofread what I type, but misteaks slip

Looking for photo of flatcar with diner load
Hello,
I am looking for a photo, if anyone might know of one, of a flat car hauling a diner built by the Ward & Dickinson Co, Silver Creek, NY. I saw this in a Pennsy video awhile back and hoped

Garth, you don't need any archives on your computer. The Messages files at groups.io go back to 12/11/2000 (!).

Re: Nice images of NYC, P&LE, and PMcK&Y hoppers...
The hoppers are USRA design triples, which Westerfield still makes in HO. Longacre is at the east end of Smithers (I actually have a book on Smithers). This was an area that produced good coking

Paul,
We discussed this question a couple of years ago, so it should be in the archives. Sadly, I had this discussion archives, but it somehow got blown off my computer.

Re: Southern railway flat cars
I think this happened in the mid 1950s. First came red cars with Roman lettering, and then
soon after (late 50s) Southern adopted the block lettering style.

Re: [Non-DoD Source] [RealSTMFC] Photos: Assorted Gondolas & Flat Cars
From the looks of the freight cars in these images, it seems the Pennsy spit-shine crew wasn’t called into action on that G22 gondola. The NYC spit-shine crews sure kept busy on some great looking
