Are you sure this isn't a scam for getting your bank account information? I've heard nothing like what you said from ebay.

Re: Photo: SP Flat Car 43595 With Transformer Load
There are no 70t, 1400000 lbs capacity flats listed in either the 7-37 or 7-39 ORER's for SP.
Tony may need to chime in here but I think SP got it's first 70T flats in 1940, if memory serves and I

I agree with Garth and Bruce.
The leaf-sprung trucks look like they were once under a steam locomotive tender. Someone at SP must have determined the F-50-12 underframe could handle the transformer's

Having just dumped a batch of unneeded locos on EBay and having to suffer 10% in fees plus the PayPal fees I’m just about done selling on the platform. For EBay to default to PayPal for purchases,

Garth, Folks,
Photo taken 4/8/1937. Reweigh 3/37. That supports a reweight immediately or nearly before loading this transformer. 😉

Re: Photo: SP Flat Car 43595 With Transformer Load
Brian,
The number puts it in the F-50-12 series. I suspect it was a special conversion, maybe just for this movement and it was later returned to general service. Otherwise, why it was not renumbered

Remedy, in part:
Set up a separate bank account that you use only for Ebay transactions.

Andy and Claus,
If you blow this picture up, you will notice the narrow gauge car has traction couplers and fenders. Yes, it is likely a LARY car.

Re: Photo: SP Flat Car 43595 With Transformer Load
The flat car is clearly stenciled above the left hand truck "CAPY 140000", making it a 70 ton capacity car.. So it can't be a F-50-12 class flat car, can it?
