L&N Woodrack -- 6
Would be better if it had the typical 10 inch or so overhang.

I think you were probably referring to the Sunshine 88.5/88.6 kits.

The last L&N woodrack (yea!).
In the 50s, General Steel Castings offered woodrack kits that several roads purchased and built in their own shops, sometimes with road-specific

Yes. ALCO imported a brass model - I had one (I may still :-)) and I think
Sunshine 64.3 was the resin model kit for this same car.

Re: Does anyone have info on Klingan 943?
Interestingly, I don't see anything about this car on the informal records from the museum's dissolution.

Re: Fw: Milwaukee road flood photo
I believe, and it would take much digging in my files to find it, that NYC had some express cars converted from milk cars. Probably older cars made surplus after more modern steel milk cars came into

Hi Bob,
The Bev-Bel Corp history is indeed interesting. I am assuming the same people were responsible for the “O” scale cars that carried the Bev-Bel name that I became aware of in the 80s’

Re: Photo: Swift Reefer 6368
Hi Bob,
No idea how that photo got my name on it, as I’m certainly not the photographer.
I wasn’t born until Nov 1952.
Maybe I shared it with someone privately and they have shared it with Utah

Re: [bbfcl] Converting Rapido’s Rr-56 Mechanical Reefer Into Rr-60 & Rr-61 Classes
I think there is a survivor car in Colorado Springs at muesum. I know it's an early SFRD mechanical reefer for sure.

The name train slogans on all 3 classes were painted on the correct (left) side when built.

Bob and Friends,
When you follow the link to Don Strack's web pages, you will also find a photo of Swift 6284. This car is swaybacked, even though it has a steel underframe. I wonder if anyone besides

SFRD 2500-2510 MTC cars were built in 1955 as part of the RR-56 class but were equipped with Thermo-King refrigeration units and Continental diesel. Only 1 side photo of cars as built has been found

Note that SFRD 2500-2510 only had two sets of vents towards the B end on the left side. And in a photograph of SFRD 2500 in the mechanical refrigerator book it looks like the slogans were applied on
