Re: [Non-DoD Source] [RealSTMFC] Photo: PRR Boxcar 23635 X29D (1955)
This June 1955 rebuild is part of the oddball group with high tack boards on the ends and low on the doors.
PRR was getting orders of doors, sides and ends, in batches, and used what they had on

All-
It is likely that the Illinois Railway Museum Store has the back copy of RMC that you are looking for. They have tons of magazines donated to them on a regular basis so the cost is fairly

Re: [Non-DoD Source] [RealSTMFC] Photo: Loading Auto Stampings Into PRR Gondola
Group;
After much close examination and head-scratching, I believe what we are looking at is a PRR class G31D number 376358 (I think).
The Budd-produced underbodies are for an unknown

Hi Bob and List Members,
I've spent quite a bit of time looking at this great photo. It was this photo (and others) that made it clear to be that even by 1929 most PRR class GS gons no longer

Re: [Non-DoD Source] [RealSTMFC] Photos: Boxcar Cleaning Equipment
Group;
From what I’ve been able to glean, this is PRR’s attempt at (or documentation of) more automated box car cleaning, in this case, for GN cars.
PRR was having a hard time absorbing

Richard,
Among the welded 40’ steam era reefers described in the archives are a batch of FGE cars circa 1947 described by Bill Welch.

It would be neat to get a better view of the Erie boxcar and the high walkway tank car four cars ahead of the Erie boxcar.

I know that is one of the variations. I suspect, for no good reason except I think I’ve seen a photo, the NH version is likely.
