The CNJ cars, how many I don’t know, where upgraded to AB brakes. From photos it appears when they were shopped, they also got the small Lady Liberty herald. I have never seen any other roof

I agree with Chuck.
The Wabash had multi use tags; but they weren't as vague. Specific uses were spelled out.

Re: Mystery Car Tag
I would guess that this is not a one purpose tag. My thought would be that upon use,
one letter would be circled or marked. Perhaps a specific yard or routing, an interchange
point or some such.

Hi Chuck--Almost certainly an H9s with that tender. By 1952 there were only H9s and H10s classes.

Mystery Car Tag
Mystery Car Tag
I found this photo of a GM&O car tag.
It simply reads “S P L F D”. Almost like a line on an eye chart.
Does anyone know what “S P L F D” means?
Thanks.

Re: Fw: [RealSTMFC] Whose door?
I think this could be a replacement door- too new for your era, Clark. The car has a 1973 date on it, and the car to the left is sans a running board.
