I higher resolution image might help - one where the smallest writing on the tank cars is

Depressed Center Flat Car
A neighbor gifted me this interesting depressed center flat car. It has no markings. Can anyone identify it and maybe provide a prototype photo? I'm guessing it is too modern for my 1950's layout,

Great data! Thank you for sharing and clearing up the mystery, Charlie! I had thought it was a bit late for WP&Y locos but couldn't figure out where else they would be shipping.

Re: Need help dating this photo
The OCRX reporting marks were in used between 1923 and 1935 according to http://www.nakina.net/other/report/reporto.html
Based on the tank truck partially visible I would suggest the late 20s.

Re: [Non-DoD Source] [RealSTMFC] PRR 343379 steel gon in 1954 Philadelphia PA end view
Group;
I don’t have my refs handy, but it looks like a PRR G28. The giveaways for me are the combo of features on side and end, including the gusseted end sill top.
Nice find, Claus!

Wonder if the ship was owned by the Japanese "K-Line" firm, est. ~1920. Think I see a straw "boater" and a couple of "newsboy" hats, which were popular about that time. Ship appears to be ocean-going
