Based on the CM&StP box a few tracks to the left, this is in the era when truck centers were 5’-0” from the end of the car, vs. the later 5’-6”. I don’t remember when that was changed?

Hurray l now know a nickel is 5 cents, and presumably a dime is 10 cents. Was pulp wood a by product of tree felling, or thinning: or was it a stand alone task where only pulp wood was cut? I assume

Brian and friends, Like most freight, loading pulpwood was the responsibility of the shipper, and some (probably many) small pulpwood operations were owner-operated companies where the boss was right
