Where does the ‘Empty Return’ Stencils go on n an SP SS boxcar?
I’m decaling the Speedwitch SP A-50-4 and plan to use it going to a lumber yard on the layout. The decals have a white backed decals for returning the empty car to Eugene. I’ve looked through

your eyes are better than mine, I just enlarged that build date and it is 1928; a quick check in the earlier ORER confirms

As nearly as I can tell the CRLX series 5501 – 5600 was built by GATC in 1928, this photo shows fresh paint in 1935 along with experimental rubber springs in the trucks.

Actually cars in that series were built by ACF, GA and Cudahy
GA built 100 cars in 1935

Re: NYC Post-war PS-1 box car paint
Tim & others,
FWIW, I tend to trust Kadee on their painting and lettering. I looked up NYC 40ft PS-1s on their website, and the 170000 and 180000 series cars, built in 1951 and 1952, respectively,

Re: Current form of Future Floor Wax Suitable for Decal Work
Hi Allen,
I'm not sure what project you might be wanting to use a spray bottle for but a spray bottle would give you less control of the application.
It is just going to go everywhere and spray heavy.

Tony
I provided two photos - You are correct the Ebay photo shows a repainted car, although I have noticed
that many repainted cars did not receive repainted roofs.

I just used the same Pledge product Eric refers to above. https://www.pledge.com/en-us/products/pledge-floor-gloss
Works fine. I brush it on only the areas to be decaled. After the Micro Sol/Micro
