replacement for Ambroid cement
What replacements are you using for the old go to Ambroid cement?
Apparently the last manufacturer gave up the the ghost.
I think Duco cement was an old time "new and improved" version of Ambroid

can you help me?
Can anyone supply a photocopy of the instructions for a HO scale Main line PRR N6B caboose?
How about Qualitycraft instructions for the same car?
Is the underframe the same for PRR N6A & N6B

Re: Model weathering
The Delano photos are a terrific source for the effect of time, dirt and soot on the roof a box car (or any house car) in the coal burning era. That and the variety of weathering and repair of running

Re: NP 50’ reefer
I agree, I thought it was a 50' car. I got fooled. The height is only 12'8" to the top of the running board.

NP 42’ reefer
Back when the Oregon Pacific & Eastern Railroad (Made famous from the movies "Stand by me" and "Empire of the North") was operating as a steam tourist line, one of these NP reefers was visible shortly

Re: NP 50’ reefer
Inside length was 34' 6" - pretty close to typical for a "40 foot" produce reefer.
I have a couple of the Brian Pate (Norwest) kits if anyone is interested.

Charlie: It shows 42’-3 5/8” with 43’-8 5/8” running boards. In HO, Norwest did them in resin and W&R did them in brass.

NP 50’ reefer
Could someone provide some background to this NP reefer. When built, series, etc. it’s part of a photo I’m using in a book. Image at MP East Yard in Kansas City 1943

This a typical all-steel version of the Ralston GS gondola. The wood-side version was more common, but there were also a good number of these built.
