Re: Westerfield A50-4
Very nice work; I remember building this model when Al was using the extremely brittle green colored resin. What a ‘learning’ experience that was.

Could they be a variation of a Crown truck? I've attached a photo of a Bowser Crown truck for comparison; I know they would not have the "bars" from the frame to the journal boxes.

I think you are misinterpreting the edges of the brake shoes, Nelson. These aren’t Andrews.

Re: Help with truck identification
I agree Steve - at first I thought it might be a Vulcan but it definitely does not have the pedestal journal
which would also disqualify it from being an Andrews either.

Re: Help with truck identification
Thanks for the clear photo, Steve. The railhead on the other side of the car runs across the bottom of the front side frame in the original photo, making me think it was an Andrews truck.

Re: Help with truck identification
Here is better view of the truck from the same source
I don’t think that the journal boxes are separable, so it is more likely an example of an ARA “standard” double truss spring plank

They’re a variant of Andrews trucks, I don’t know is there is an exact match, but I would use Tahoe Model Works Andrews trucks.

Help with truck identification
Gentlemen, Trucks are one of my weakest areas of knowledge. Any idea what these trucks are? And what is the closest model for them HO scale.
Thanks
