Richard's article starts on page 12 of this July 1995 Rail Model Journal.

Hi Clark,
Richard Hendrickson (I think) did an article (in RMJ?) on the Roundhouse and MDC 50' SS double-door boxcars ... listing features for various roads. I'll look it up when I get home tonight,

Milwaukee USRA SS (faded) boxcar color question
I’ve just finished a Westerfield USRA SS boxcar and have decals to finish it as a Milwaukee RR car. I’d like to finish as a car that’s been in service 15+ years so looking for some suggestions

Roundhouse 50' SS DD
I recently picked up a WP Roundhouse 50' single sheathed, with steel double doors. Didn't notice the model had a auto door in one end till I got home. Is it still good for WP?
Thanks for all

Re: Photo: Alton Aluminum Boxcar 1200
I know the M&StL versions had hollow axles for lighter weight, maybe they all did? They were an issue. the axle would suck the waste out of the journal box resulting in hot boxes.

Besides Accurail's old Ribside Cars Exactrail is re-releasing their version. Saw them at the StL RPM.

While some multi _manway_ single compartment tank cars have been built since 1960, for phosphorus for instance, I can't recall ever seeing a multi _dome_ single compartment tank car. Can't say that

Re: Milwaukee Rib-side boxcars
Intermountain is taking reservations for theirs in several schemes, and Accurail has announced a few kits recently (from the former Ribside Car tooling). Not sure of anyone else doing them in HO.
