Re: 3D Printing Trucks?
Nice looking pair of L or T (?) section Andrews. Good through the 1940's I think.

In HO scale I think the ONLY chance we will ever get accurate Chrysler trucks
(both plain and roller bearing) is from 3D printed trucks. Good performance is
desirable but the appearance is even more

Re: 3D Printing Trucks?
Are those 70 ton clasp brake trucks ? Would they be correct for Carbon County open hoppers
(or indeed other US Steel cars, like the B&LE) ?

Frank was a very cordial friend and possessed a wealth of information. His presentations on steam locomotive appliances were exceptional. His passing is a great loss to the model railroad community.

A few years ago I presented a clinic on this at Collinsville. Dennis Storzek, Ken McCorry, Jared Harper and Doug Harding was very helpful in putting it together.

Gene,
In addition, Walthers once made trucks with leaf springs (for cabooses) - no. 934-818 (Bettendorf-type trucks) and 932-892 (arch bar trucks). They had working leaf springs, but (if I recall

It was a pleasure to talk to Frank whenever we would meet at an RPM or similar gathering. He was always willing to share his knowledge and collections. Hopefully we will all keep those traditions

In the 1950’s, we did business with the Mobil Oil distributor on East Fruit Street in Santa Ana California. My recollection is that it was fenced.

... I guess I'm going to have to restate my question ...
Is anyone -using- HO scale, 3D printed, trucks and liking them ... in terms
of how they operate (not how good they look)?

I have attached a picture of a 3D printed truck. The truck is pretty durable. The scale 1/48.
