ROX 670 is a post-1917 tankcar judging by the double rivet rows on the tank body itself. Do we know who built it and when? Perhaps a newer tank on a pre-1917 frame?

There's been mention in this thread of the 6,500 gallon cars converted to narrow gauge service, as well as Bill MacIndoe's Shapeways underframe being for an earlier 6,000 gallon car.

Your close but merging the Alton itself did not create the GM&O. It already existed 7 years prior.

I just did a search on a The Car Builders Dictionary you had below and eventually found the 4-Wheel caboose images. However the underframe images were side view images and not a true underneath
