Re: SEEKING TECHNICSL HELP
I'd try to find a compatible male end for you hose. The compressor connection is probably metric, not 1/4 inch.

SEEKING TECHNICSL HELP
I just received an Iwata Pro Jet compressor to replace my aging silent compressor.. The Iwata unit is equipped with quick connect connections on the output ports. My lines to the spray booth and bead

Re: Cable reel and cable barge was NRC wood sheathed reefer ID c1940-48
Looks like a depressed centre flat to me... CP numbers all of these cars in the 3099xx series. My best guess based on what I can see is CP 30992_, which corresponds to a group of 5 cars built by CP

The second photo is NRC 4552 from an earlier lot 5325 built in 1922 but very similar. Nice view of the reweigh block shows the car was stencilled at NRC’s shops in Cudahy, WI. This car will last

Thanks Allan - a nice sharp detail photo. Surprisingly hard to find any of the 5400 number series.

Sure. Here are photos of both open and closed doors. I painted the inside a wood color for obvious reasons. Tony Thompson

Right... regarding the.... errr..... boards....
My first project with Rapido was the GARX meat reefer. That was criticized on some groups as having too big a gap between the boards. In discussions

Re: Cable reel and cable barge was NRC wood sheathed reefer ID c1940-48
hi Ralph,
Well, looking at the 1941 Summary of Equipment for CPR, it would be in one of two 50+’ long series of cars starting 309XXX. (I think the 8 hatch reefer to its right tells us its well over

Re: bus being delivered in an ERIE steel auto box with end doors...
While the brands Lionel and MTH don’t evoke feelings of accurate product excellence over the past maybe two decades they have been a boon to 1/48 two rail modelers with state of the art scale

That comment certainly raised temperatures, for sure, but I think it was some careless comments of a more personal nature, which the then-moderator refused to notice, that caused many of us to bail.

LOL ! I'd forgotten that little dust up.
Here was my defense of Richard Hendrickson on 12/10/2000.
It was hardly the last word on the subject !! :-D

Tim,
But wasn't it Richard's "train set bozos" comment that really did the FCL in?

Re: tank car identity
Can't help with the tank car, but Curtis Candy did lease some 50 foot ice reefers. I wonder
where these reefers came from... :-\

I can make out the "54" fairly well... so I agree 5405 is most likely
And yeah, Bruce, that cable reel load is too cool! 8-)

Re: NRC wood sheathed reefer ID c1940-48
There was no 7400 series in that time frame so looks like 5405 would be correct; that would make it Pullman Lot 5369, IRM has the drawings.
