I use the Plastruct shingles too and am very happy with them. For rolled roofing I use toilet paper cut in strips.

I just had some Vallejo London Gray and flat brown and mixed the two with water for a stain. You might notice I added a few ‘rough’ spots with the bristles just to add some variations on the
