Charlie which photo etch ladders are you going to use? I have two of those kits. One is a dry ice reefer and the other the standard reefer like yours.
Thanks

Ignore the last paragraph. I had not waited long enough and a second application of ELO did remove the new date quite neatly without damage to the underlying paint. It will take some time to remove

Re: Photo: Watermelons In Livestock Car (Undated)
I'd guess that ventilated box cars, which were well represented on various southern roads, were also commonly used for shipments of all kinds of melons and other produce not needing refrigeration.

Re: Help with Northwestern green/yellow reefer
Oops, forgot to add suggestion for the paint colors. It sure looks, to my eye, that the colors are the same yellow and green as used on CNW's diesels and passenger cars in the 1950s.

Re: Help with Northwestern green/yellow reefer
Charlie,
My Jan 1952 ORER has NWX 70000-70650 503 cars, 40-0 over strikers, 4' x6' doors, 1944 cuft, 8000 capy.
No other dimensional data listed, but that was typical in the Private Car Owners

The photo description says 2' bolts. Being this is a lumber train in Oregon, I suspect shingle bolts, for making wood shingles. Most likely cedar.
