Yep. As Andy says we've discussed the McKean (now Accurail) car many times. The easiest one to model
closely (without major mods to the roof) is the 3000-3499 series.

Yes, it may have originated as a New Haven Railroad Historical & Technical Association special run kit, and then entered the F&C line of regular products. See attached photos of one of these

The owner of hobbies for men in Beacon, NY told me 99% of "craftsman" model railroad car kits are never completed. I guess the more expensive a kit the less likely it was to be attempted.
