As I said, people don't answer emails . . it takes 2-3 times to get a replies. Some of the guys with less appropriate replies need to think before talking.

Todd, thanks for the info. I think I canreplace grabs and maybe doors so Boweser sounds good to me.

Charlie,
I just checked my Spam/Junk folder and found 14 messages - all from this group (including, ironically, some from this thread). I think the reason for so many may be some of those messages

The Bowser X31abkits are reasonably cheap and can be upgraded with a little effort. Don't forget Rapido's excellent RTR version of the same car. (Rapido on the right modified Bowser on the left)

Re: PRR & NYC double door boxcar models?
Jim,
Bowser has both 50 ft and 40 ft double door autoboxes for the PRR. It's just that they have molded on ladders and grabs, but they are pretty accurate. Rapido is doing or has done the 40ft

Bowser. To me they have shortcomings in the underframe and cast on details but with a little work they are acceptable. Now a double door X31a I would use Rapido but X31, X31b, X31c, X31d, and x31f,

Not right now but you may try on e Bay or ask on HO swap for someone who wants to sell a copy. The way they are bound I'm not sure I could copy and scan without messing my copy up. Fenton
