Maybe he did to his switch what the prototype does to theirs. They narrow the gauge from 4 ft 8 1/2 inches to 4 ft 8 inches. There was a HO switch manufacture at the MRIA show(before they hooked up

engines) can create a much better rolling unit. On old PFM equipment which
uses those square axles replacement with a Reboxx
