Curt, Martin sells a mini-kit that consists of a complete,
very thin resin side overlay for the Atlas hopper. You shave
off and sand down the sides of the Atlas car and apply the
overlay. He sells it

Okay, what ad did I miss? What mini-kit? IIRC, the alternate needs a
whole new side, not just changing the gussets.

Note that Grandt Line and Tichy both sell sprues of rivets although some of them will be too large for HO.

I saw that Hundman article that showed the technique, I think it was a
scratch built CB&Q stockcar. I tried doing it a few times as well. I suggest
working over a white background to help find

him what the prototype for the car was -- he replied it was C&O!!
