For what it is worth,IMHO,Globe car kits were better than
Athearn.They were constructed around a four piece sub frame made of wood.The
rest of the body was stamped metal including a metal underframe

Doug, you need to get a real mail reader :o) like Eudora. Just
click on the "edit" icon, then move the cursor to the end of the
split URL and hit 'delete' and it pastes the second line onto the
first.

I don't see it happening - it would take a really impressive alternative to
make me change away from the 58/78 at this point. But the option is there,
