I've got photos of the 40 ft. DL&W piggy-back flat cars lettered E-L
taken after the 1960 merger of Dl&w and Erie. They did work into the
1960's hauling the shorter trailers.

Using the blowup feature of the image browser, you can clearly see the car
is wood, double sheathed, with a belt rail. It has Youngstown ends and hand
grabs rather than ladders. It was built
