Rails Unlimited C&EI Shipper Guide
Hey Mr. Schnepf,
I looked for the new C&EI shipper guide at your web site
and couldn't find it. Can you tell me what the cost is,
including postage, to send me one here in California?
Thanks,
Shawn

Are there on-line photos that show the roof?

Superior Five-panel doors
So, I was cruising through a Branchline Yardmaster kit today and thought I
should review the PDF at the Steam Freight Cars website to check on the
roof, doors, handbrake and running board.

Re: Milw ribside cars
Tim,
The Ribside models are of the 1939-1940 built 10-6 IH cars
as are the Sunshine #41.1-.4 kits. The 10-9 IH cars were the
1944 and newer cars.
As to the roof, there are things I like about each

Paul:
I thought that too, as I saw them under Uncle Dave's ebay listing. The photos that are being used are the pilot models (with the errors!) I hope they are fixed as I don't want to strip

Re: Lifelike Simplex Trucks
Ahh, I see. Recommended Practice vs Standard.
Trapped in an assumption again.
Thanks for the correction.

PFE Express Reefers
Can someone tell me what size wheel was used in the trucks on the PFE
express reefers? Was it 33" or 36"?

I spoke with Alan Welch about these this weekend. He pointed out that they are the correct height if you scale down the prototype, which is certainly a good trend. However, they have to be modified

Pierre Oliver asked:
Isn't there an NMRA standard for bolster dimensions?
Technically, no - it's Recommended Practice RP-23 (Revised August

Ted, Go to www.uncledavesbrass.com. He has a couple in stock under the HO list with a picture. They look right, but I am at the office. I hope they are right, I have sent my money for two.

Schuyler,
Some people at Naperville felt that the Milwaukee welded roof
is not correctly tooled. My Mainline Modelers with good shots
of the roof are in storage, so I can't examine them myself
