Mantua became TYCO. IIRC, the TYCO name was derived from the name of
Mantua's owner. It became part of a large conglomerate and then spun off

Walthers USRA hoppers
I saw Walthers USRA hopper cars at a hobby shop this week. Surprise,
surprise! They looked very familiar. They have Accurail parts except for
the trucks (Walthers "Bettendorf"), couplers, coupler box

When you drag the fill handle (lower right corner of cell), holding the
shift or control keys changes how the cells are filled. After filling
the cells the auto fill options box appears.

Although they may not open all the way, Kadee, Branchline, Front Range
Products and others have found ways to have opening doors without

The ex-Lindberg gon is the one in the Heavies Line by Mantua.
Mantua aquired the ex-Linberg tooling and brought it out some years ago as
the "Heavies" Line. They

Model power bought Mantua tooling. I think Mantua also had the Tyco tooling. Check with Model Power

Actually there were three groups of these cars: 25 74'5" cars were constructed by Canadian Car & Foundry in 10-11/1956 under lot 2141 at 570400-570424. 50 more were built in 4/1959 under lot 2257

UOCX lettering was, in fact, aluminum on black. Also true of a number of other tank car operators, though it's difficult (often impossible) to tell the difference in a B/W photo.

There are many scale and accurate cars available in O scale. Intermountain had box cars, a reefer, a tank, the USRA hopper and a USRA gon. Many dealers like my self, have both kits and RTR
