Re: Wabash hoppers
Eldon,
Was thinking along the lines of the 1909 GXL, PRR type with side doors. Have seen as old pix with 1/2 size doors on the side. Was curious if this was one of those, or a repair,

Re: Rivet Counters Gathering in N. VA on August 27
I had a great time.
It was a small -- very small -- bunch but we had fun and got to know
one another a little better.
Biggest news of the day?? Ben Hom is starting on a layout that is
scheduled

Tim,
Thanks for the help. All of my photos have reweigh dates that do not
reflect when the cars were actually painted.
I do recall that the boxcar red billboard scheme you mention as well as
a blue

Re: Tank car search
There are no exact decals, but I think "3 foot" correct lettering
for the GATX car is straightforward, and possibly UP can be pieced
together from Champ/Microscale sets.

Tim;
Thank you very much for that lead.
By any chance, do you know of anyone that produced decals in HO for
these unique cars?
Thanks,

Re: AC&Y YELLOW BOXCAR PAINT SCEME
Not to my knowledge, Mont. The only photo I have of a newly painted
yellow car is dated 1963. ACY also had a "box car red" version of the
billboard scheme but I don't know the exact dates for that

Fred,
I believe that I have general arrangement drawings for this car. In time, it
will be offered by Speedwitch Models. Currently we are making kits for a
couple of gons following by a NH flat car.
