Actually, the date the world (apparently) went to color is around 1950. I lived on the LVRR from 1944-45 (ages 2-3) and my friend lived in the same village from 1947-50 (ages 5-7) and neither of us

Note on the DSS&A car, in "GATEWAY" the W and both A's are stenciled backwards. I believe one of the Henderson books has one with a similar problem.

The Seaboard operated rebuilt double sheathed boxcars right up the merger with the ACL. Some of these remained in service into the 80's in work service.
