Hey, now there's an idea. With these new color printers, just take a photo of the car in question,
photoshop it into orthogonal shape, print it out on card stock at the right size, and glue it onto

That's true, having looked through every single decade of Model Railroader starting from #1, the balance of articles hasn't changed much, less scratchbuilding stuff, but then you don't have to make
