Re: Remarks
I responded to Tim off list. These sorts of discussions don't advance
the cause of modeling. I am sorry for my contribution to this
diversion from the real purpose of this group. All please excuse.

Gunk and grime was: ADMIN: Creosote and wood preservatives
Please don’t rely on other people’s formulas or recipes for weathering
colours. There have been far too many really good models which have been
slightly spoiled by someone simply squirting on some

Re: ADMIN: Creosote and wood preservatives
While we're at a discussion of colors and being new to the group, I would be interested in hearing some recipes for general "Gunk" and "grime" colors applied to wheels, trucks and under frames

They do. And what constitutes a "constructive remark" and which
is "hurtful"? Please illustrate so we can all use your dictionary.
In some circles that might be considered a rude remark.

Athearn 50' single sheathed box cars
Once more into the breach: Athearn has re-released the Roundhouse
single sheathed box cars. I recall these are ok for MP, T&P and WP, but
my question is -- are these correct for T&P and WP with steel

Pat, I'm just speculating but it sounds like Dan is a one-man show and he
doesn't want little onesie-twosie orders from small shops. Des Plaines Hobbies
buys a bunch of each door, and stocks them all

Re: 8.000/10.000 gallon tank car placards [Proto 2000].
I can only do the research by myself if i have acces to the archives,
which i don't have.
So the only info i have is out of the magazines/books i have,
or from you people.
That's why i'm asking these
