Thanks Garth & Tony, I didn't know that. I think molasses is the first step
in sugar processing, whether cane or sugar beets (or wood pulp). I think
when it is evaporated its becomes "brown sugar"

No I do not think it is silly. You can buy US of A made carbon steel bits. There are some tools made on speculation but are sold through tool companies to shops manufactures that study the cost use
