Al Hoffman recalls seeing information somewhere that Duryea underframes were outlawed in interchange at some point. I think he may be right, but I can't remember where I got that impression either.

were found on some early cars for AT&SF, and some Southern cars
built in 1954 and 1957. GM&O had some Greenvilles that look like

The answer is simple. The Proto 2000 tanks are type 21's not Type 27's <G>
