I can't help with the photo but according to my 1961 ORER these cars had Evans Auto Loaders installed that could be retracted for general cargo loading.

Brian, you are right that the postwar SFRD rebuilds had bottom-operated couplers with rotary uncoupling levers, whereas the prewar cars kept their original top operated couplers and uncoupling
