One method of removing "glued" styrene items apart or from one another is to take the freight car and put it into you freezer for several days until it is solidly (is that a word?) frozen and

Built an Athearn boxcar kit lately? Top snaps onto floor. Some other manufacturers did this too-Walthers passenger cars would be another example. Better execution

From my ORERs:
April 1946: 17 stock cars, 3000-3099 and 14 box cars, 5000-5099
April 1952: No cars.
Hopefully others can narrow it down even further.

Richard Hendrickson's Mather box car article in RMJ August 2003 refers
to the EStLJctRR's entire freight car fleet, as of 10/47, being leased
from Mather (they had stock cars too.)
