Ann Arbor was said to have purchased 100 PS-1 40'
box cars from Pullman Standard in 1956.
The N&W absorbs the Wabash, does not want the Ann
Arbor, and sells it to the DT&I. Somewhere in

No. "Diamond" was a retail gasoline brand, and Diamond stations eventually became D-X stations. Mid-Continent's "Diamond" brand had no connection with Diamond Alkali.

US reefer designs
I've been reading through a newly acquired copy of Santa Fe Railway
Refrigerator Cars and a question has arisen in my mind.
Both CNR and CPR had, what I understand, to be great success with an 8
hatch

Re: Question about two Fowler Clone Boxcars in Red Wing, MN
Thank you all for the information. In fact, after looking up a photo
of a Sunshine Models car, I was able to spot the MILW reporting marks
on the car end.

The cars look very much like one of the cars Ted Culotta did in one of the early installments of the series on "essential freight cars."

Definitely Milwaukee Road cars. I might point out, however, that they
can't be "Fowler" cars unless they have slots in the framing for the
sheathing bolts to allow tightening the sheathing, since that
