Yes, the Monon got these cars in 12-53. I know Athearn worked form photos on this project and these numbers can get pretty hard to see. By the way, 4413 was originally assigned to Genral

Anyone want to comment of the date of the photo on the dust jacket?
There are few single sheathed box cars (maybe 1/10th) and few flat
roofed box cars like X29s.

Yes, Issue 41 is there now. When I wrote, the site contained only up to issue 40. This was using the link Ben provided.

The short answeer is no. The Monon didn't begin loading grain in covered hoppers until the late 1960's and then only on a limited basis. Instead the railroad operated a number of boxcars
