Re: NYC Pacemaker boxcar
A truly accurate of the famous NYC red and grey Pacemaker boxcar would sell
too. I think that the closest model might still be the old metal Athearn
which at least had a 3/4 end on it. Somewhere

Re: NYC Steel Boxcars, New Models?
Tim;
Those would be super additions! We are currently dominated by the 1945-55
set, and we have had little either in the way of later rebuilds or new
post-55 cars, for any road. I would second that

Re: preparation of styrene kits for painting
It depends on the color. I painted (mostly brass) for 10 years and
used Scalecoat almost exclusively. I found it necessary to prime
(light gray) when the color coat was to be yellow or most

Re: NYC Steel Boxcars, New Models?
We do need more NYC cars, but as Richard said Al Westerfield
already did these original cars. What I'd love to see are the
rebuilds with new roofs etc. that were seen in the 50's and 60's.

It would be great if they bring this to fruition, as we have sorely needed
more NYC System cars for a long time. Thanks for pursuing this.

Re: SFRB Boxcar
Thanks to all for the info. I am thinking Intermountain with a plug
door from Branchline or somebody and leave it at that.
The third truck in the middle is no problem--I put those on all my
cars
