I've had the same experience with this "Myth" --- at least the Goo version. I had a HO plastic flat car which took on a very "John Allen" shape due to the contact cement holding the wood lumber load

Just to add fuel, what about water based contact cements. There are a few out there or at least there used to be.

As has been discussed thoroughly for some time, and presuming both tape and cement have been applied properly:
Sticky tape is just fine except that no one knows exactly how long these sticky foam

I use the professional 3M double stick foam tape. You may be able to buy it at the local big box stores or online like I do for my job. Mc Master-carr is one outlet.it's way neater than any

Atlas calls this model an "AAR hopper". But Stewart also
made two "AAR hopper" cars from the same era. Were there
really three different 70 ton AAR design ex-post hoppers
being built in the 1950's? (
