Hi A.T.,
That is fine. You spent more time with the answers than I did. I will stand behind your answers. We both have the drawings and our own field notes.

Rapid Prototyping from one who has done a bit
While this might be seen as a slightly “off topic” reply I’ll start by
saying that Rapid Prototyping allowed me to produce an ACCURATE Southern
Railway SU Boxcar in N scale. So far the big commercial

Re: Thoughts on this Rail Works PRR X31A Boxcar
Jason,
The Railworks cars from this era are notorious for their "cold solder"
joints which are often quite fragile. I have not dealt with the X31, but
I have several of the X32 WWII conversions

Re: DT&I 11500-11799 Rebuilt USRA DS 40' Boxcar
I haven't dug out my car bodies yet, but how about the roof off the
MDC 50' SS car? I suspect it won't have enough panels when cut to 40'.

Re: Removing Lettering from Intermountain HO Freight Cars
John,
You might consider Denatured Alcohol as an alternative to an eraser. I have used it in the past with better than avarage results and you can buy it in quarts at your local hardware store.?

You need to pick up the pace with only 20 kits on standby; I have 97 waiting for the snow to fall.

Re: Making Model parts through Rapid Prototyping
Rob,
The best way, IMHO, to represent exterior detail on round surfaces, like
tank cars and Vandy tenders, is to go the "wrapper way". Build the basic
body from traditional methods if you don't
