NAH - in fact, I refer to early brass "air hoses" as "guitar strings"
with a very negative connotation. I've made lagged piping using
threading dies that look like a 3 jaw collet with a ring on them

then experiment with different mixes of your favorite acrylic paint and

home-built box cars during the 1950s have never been located except for
a diagram that provides paint specs for the Eagle

The length of the car is not correct but close
The end had a signature reversed C channel end sill that was
overlapped by the siding at the ends; strapping and vertical supports
were often added

I just got back from Cocoa Beach and Ed was not there nor have I known
him to ever attend. Hopefully he will show up and be the best to
answer. I do remember using 2 different shades of Accupaint -
