Has anyone recently bought prints from Harold K. Vollrath? Have a

paint chemistry
I was a coatings formulator for many years.
The linseed oil I mentioned is an oil modified polyurethane; the
technical name is alkyd. When the solvent evaporates the polymer is
soft and rubbery.

Re: Athearn C&NW 65 ft mill gon
Thanks go to Garth Groff & Ben Hom for answering my questions on the
Athearn 65 ft. gondola. It is an intriguing model, I think, but it
won't fullfill my need.
PRR 440575, which I believe was a G26

When you speak of linseed oil, is it "boiled linseed oil" or "raw". Years
ago when trying to refinish a gunstock I was told to use linseed oil, well, it
never dried. I then learned about boiled

Hi Elden--Timonium happens four times a year; it is just on the north
side of B-more. Unfortunately, I have been only once, and it was
fabulous. However, I do have a friend who
goes to every show

Re: Athearn C&NW 65 ft mill gon
Gene,
IIRC, the Athearn 65' gondola is an AAR design from the mid-1940s that was build up into the 1960s. Many roads had cars very similar to the model, though I'm not able to name most with accuracy

Elden,
Timonium is not far from Baltimore. The show is held in some exhibition buildings at the state fair grounds. It may not be the biggest show around, but it is HUGE, like filling three warehouse
