Why clean tank cars?
An obvious question: why were the tank cars cleaned? The need is
obvious if it carries foods or if the commodity is changed, but in most
cases of tank cars used by refineries I would think the car

think happened on this order of cars. Initial cars built in the order came
with 4/4 ends with short top

The "YSD-2A" was my shorthand designation was for postwar Youngstown Steel
Doors first used circa 1947 (some used in 1948 by various roads and by ATSF
and UP into the early 1950s) with 5/5/4
