Hard to tell from the Fallen Flags image, but I happen to have a 2/59
in-service photo of exactly the same car, DAX 309, thanks to the
redoubtable Col. Chet McCoid, which shows the trucks better.

Think about it -- lots of railroads had per diem deficits.
Imagine the size of the Belt Railway of Chicago's deficit --
they usually had 10,000 or more cars of other railroads on
their property!
