Stripping Trix UP boxcar
Tom, that's interesting as I have some of these cars to work on too. I wonder about what temperature your ultrasonic cleaner raises the temperature of the cleaning fluid to? I don't have one, but

A "few" UP box cars wouldn't be prototypical since UP had only one car
of this type, number 182500, B-50-18, built 5-36. Builder's photos
appear on pages 77-78 in Terry Metcalfe's book Union
