I have a pint can (half left) of Dexter Hysol frekote mold release I used with epoxy castings. Must be brushed on.
I also have a spray can of Krylon mold release. It says paintable silicone spray

Have you tried putting the glass + part in the freezer for awhile before trying to remove it?
I would also recommend the use of thinned vaseline or spray on furniture wax.

I'd try some plastic wrap between the part and the glass but that's theory
not practice. Or maybe raid the kitchen and spray the glass with Pam.

Maybe the first RR to equip a gondola with a
removable roof was the B&O in 1936.
At that time The B&O converted two of there
O-41 50-ton 49+ foot cars to class O-41A.

Perhaps you could ask him to do side stakes. If we had side stakes with rivets it would make building and customizing hoppers and gons much easier. It seems like an easy thing to tool

My past experience with Tichy (and probably others) is that they don't like to sell one or two sprues. I still have a note taped to my computer desk that says less than 200 x$'s and more than 200
