While rummaging through the attic of the Laramie Depot, I came across a box of Union Pacific Freight Conductors' Train Books. There are 128 of them, mostly from June, 1937, to August, 1938.

It appears to be a vertical bar that serves as a door stop that creates the impression of a recessed side panel. I have seen some pictures of similar door stops on other boxcars.

I do recall that he did a reefer that had all 4 sides molded together. Just add the roof and floor. Can not remember which one. I will see if I can find out. Dennis
