Folks,
I was blown away by the fact that the model is set up to allow the Duryea underframe to WORK! (if the modeler choses to do so) I think that is an HO scale production first - isn't

Paul, I have several photos of these cars, both builder's shots and
in-service, and all show them with AAR U-section cast steel trucks
with spring planks. The Accurail 'Bettendorf" truck

Speedwitch SR Gon Kit
I asked Speedwitch what they would recommend for this kit and their response was to use the Atlas #185000 50 ton Bettendorf truck.

My memory is that Sunshine did an IC steel reefer. Martin does sell decals and his PDS would be a source for paint scheme and photos.

I'd like to ask a question about Stan's Illinois Central reefers. I tried to search the archives, but "IC" and "Reefer" get you every entry with "ice" and few folks actually spell out Illinois

If someone has a good photo of the car they could post, then
we could take a whack and try to guess what the closest model
trucks would be.

Tony,
John refers to the text on the bottom of the box that gives a
very brief description of the product. It does say "drop-bottom".
It's obviously meant to say "drop-end".
