Re: Mini-kits WAS: Looking for a Sunshine Mini-kit
Elden, $20 was the price point I was thinking of. Over $20 and I'd think
twice (and then probably buy it anyway half the time). I think most of Ted's
Speedwitch kitbash kits would easily lend

Jim--
I don't have any of Sunshine's mini-kits, but I'd venture that Tricia Lofton has included the value of her and her husband's time in stating that "Sunshine makes little or no money on them".

My hunch is that Milwaukee's Train Fest is targeted toward the general

My observation of STMFC modellers' behaviour is that one often sees a car that they want to model or investigate first, then refers to the ORER. So the ORER not being entirely perfect is not

Re: Looking for a Sunshine Mini-kit
I list two other Wabash mini-kits. On, from 2004, is for an 82000-82513 rebuild. The other, from 2008, is an auto service USRA clone rebuild.

Me, too. I am sure there are many bash possibilities, if for a few castings
and some decals.
Sunshine makes little or no money on them.
I would guess it is irrelevant how little or medium

Re: Looking for a Sunshine Mini-kit
I'm fairly certain, I saw this kit on their rack at Naperville. At least I did look at a Wabash 50' steel boxcar mini-kit, maybe they have others.

Great suggestions Eldon. I look forward to reading more from others.
Most mini-kits recently have been selling for $10-$12 and yet Tricia says

All this discussion on these great potential models makes one wonder why no
one has done a kit for them? There are certainly a lot of oddball resin kits
I need less (or not) than some of the great

Re: Wright Trak CD instructions & Apple Computors
Great point Bill. I just dug out the M53 kit that I purchased at Naperville
(great looking kit BTW) and sure enough, that mini-CD won't work with any
modern Mac with the auto-loading slot CD drive.

Re: Wright Trak CD instructions & Apple Computors
Gary mentioned at the Naperville that the instructions would be posted on
their website. They aren't yet but neither is the M53 box car.

Nah, you just need to get rid of that toy computer (Mac)
and buy a real one. :-)

I was pretty sure it is as you described, thus I'm throwing myself at the mercy of my fellow listers in the hopes of turning up a couple of those particular mini-kits.
Hope springs eternal.

Re: Wright Trak CD instructions & Apple Computors
This is an important point. Many prototype modelers run Macs,
(proportionally way more than in the general population), so we need
an alternative source for the instructions.

Re: Looking for a Sunshine Mini-kit
Pierre, since the Wabash auto car was a Naperville gift way back in 1999,
it's very unlikely Sunshine would've had any on its mini-kit rack. Last week
I talked with Tricia a bit about mini-kits.
