Eric, found a Soph Marty photo of one in a NKP frieght in the mid to late 50s. Train was being pulled by a Birkshire if that helps with the date?

The CB&Q moved silica sand from areas like Streator, IL, Ottawa, IL, Wedron, IL and Wyoming IL to name a few. Thier ACF covered hoppers had routing info that would direct thier return tothose
