One did. He got pushed up by a bidder who came in in the last hour and placed a series of ever-increasing bids before giving up. Who knows what the winner's upper limit was. It does seem questionable,

Yes, they are and they make two types. I substituted the seam cap version they use on their ATSF car to do my MP one. I did have to make modifications to the hatches because they only do one version.

The door is a 5/6/5 Interim improved Youngstown door, much like the Santa Fe
door made by Dan Hall of SouthWest models. This door alone dates the
construction to 1946....

1946. The BLT date and twelve panel riveted sides are the clues. The ends
