DVD Back Issues (was Magazine Index)
I've been notified by Kalmbach -- the back issues are NOT in PDF
or other standard format. They're in some proprietary database form
and require a special app to view them. I'm sure this is just

Well, almost everything has to be scanned, except for the last N years worth
(where N is around 10) where everything was done online and in a form that
is still easily readable and convertible to PDF.

One FILE per PAGE? Wow, that seems kinda silly...
I'm glad to hear it will be PDF -- Google Desktop knows how to
read PDF files, so I can transfer the DVD contents to my hard drive
and it will create

I asked them about this at Trainfest, and the plan is PDF files. It may be
one file per page, but with 2 DVD-ROMs full of the complete issues (ads and
all). They even considered selling a USB stick

It looks like SAL 301 is listed as BAG, could it be a baggage car? Be nice to throw one into one of my 1930s SP Oregon freights.
