Re: chlorine cannister flats (was Virginia Chemical Tank Cars)
Chlorine or otherwise, several posts state they have 'attached' pics- yet I see none?
I'm interested because similar 'chemical' flats rolled across D&RGW zones and some great contributing pics

Some may enjoy this video - the title sez it all: "The New York Central in 1928-1929"
At times the camera is on the roof of a freight car, giving us good view of - you guessed it

Guys;
I built his PRR GSH gon as one of my first resin builds. The resin parts, details, decals and the instructions were good enough that it still compares well with my “modern” resin kit

Nicely done Lester.
Anyone: Out of curiosity I looked at the most current "5th Avenue" order form I could find online and they do not list the "Rib Side Car" kits. Have their kits only been available

Modelers should be advised, not all the NP 40 ft combination door boxcars with this car side arrangement had the PS-1 ends that appear in Tim's photos of NP 3309. NP 3000-3399 were Pullman-Standard

Hi Tim,
Wow! Just plain "clear" doesn't begin to describe those photos, and with both sides, both ends and the roof as well.
The cars are well beyond my era, but thanks anyway for sharing those

Bill,
According to Ed Austin's article "Boxcars of the Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railway" in the December 1997 MM, the billboard lettering was introduced shortly AFTER the July 1957 delivery of 50'

Here are a couple of clear views of these unusual NP grabiron mounts.
I also include a shot of a commonly seen end grab with two different brackets.
